Affordable Pentest
Getting a pentest done is a great way to boost your cyber security. But are there affordable pentests too? Read more in this blog!
Cyber security is now important for every business. This is because more and more companies are becoming aware of the potential consequences of a hack. Besides systems no longer working, data can end up on the street. Because of lasting reputational damage, the costs can keep rising over time. Stolen data can end up in the wrong hands. Think of your competitor, or cybercriminals carrying out targeted phishing campaigns against your contacts. In this blog, we tell you more about a potential solution to prevent a hack, namely: an affordable pentest!
How does pentesting work and what is it?
Pentesting is a method for checking the security of your applications or company network. It's a technique used to identify vulnerabilities and/or security issues in a system. The pentest is carried out by an ethical hacker, also known as a pentester. After the pentest, the vulnerabilities are made visible. This is delivered in a report and can then be fixed by your suppliers or IT specialists. A pentest can offer your organization a lot of value, since it determines how secure your networks or applications currently are. Think of it as a test in which the pentester steps into the shoes of a real hacker, only now without the disastrous consequences.

Affordable Pentesting
Pentests can be carried out by an ethical hacker. A company like Tozetta has a team of ethical hackers who have been performing pentests for quite some time. The advantage of an external party is that they look at your applications and network slightly differently than the builders of the online environment or solution itself. Pentest providers often offer tailor-made solutions. This allows your organization to help ensure it gets an affordable pentest that fits within your budget.
What makes a pentest affordable?
With a pentest, there are various ways to have the test carried out, which also affects the price. We're talking about Blackbox, Greybox and Whitebox pentesting. On our pentest page, we explain more about the different pentesting techniques.
The cost of a pentest can also vary depending on the duration of the penetration test. It often starts with one day of testing and one day of reporting/advising. The more time the ethical hackers get, the greater the chance of finding vulnerabilities. Tozetta can of course help with a time estimate. As an organization, you always have the final say and decide for yourself how long the hacker gets to try to break into your systems.
Fixing vulnerabilities
The reporting part is especially important after a pentest. The vulnerabilities found need to be fixed in order to close off the possible entry points for hackers. If the vulnerabilities aren't made visible and/or fixed, your organization remains more vulnerable to a hack. After carrying out a penetration test, Tozetta is therefore always willing to perform a re-test. This is how you safeguard the improvement process after an assignment.
Having a pentest carried out at Tozetta
At Tozetta, we offer the possibility of having direct, one-on-one contact with the ethical hackers who carried out the penetration test. Our hackers are originally Dutch and, of course, speak good English when needed. Tozetta specializes in carrying out pentests, and this is also the organization's sole focus. As a result, we can also act as an independent company that always tests your existing cyber security measures and points out areas for improvement where needed. We're happy to help fix the vulnerabilities afterward too. Our goal is namely to raise the cyber security level of your organization.
